iOS 26.6 beta 3 doesn’t bring any notable changes, aside from a slightly smaller installation size than before. X.6 beta updates usually come in around the same size, so this likely points to some code cleanup.

Updated for beta 2: iOS 26.6 beta 2 is now available, and just like beta 1, there’s nothing significant to report.

For something more exciting to experience, you may want to look into the iOS 27 beta instead.

iOS 26.6 beta doesn’t seem to include any notable new changes, as Apple is likely saving most of its focus for iOS 27 beta, expected to be announced on June 8.

MacRumors found code in iOS 26.6 beta showing that users will receive an alert when the blocked contacts limit has been reached (20.000 contacts), suggesting they remove blocked contacts in Settings before adding new ones.

Here’s how the alert is described in the code:

Blocked Contacts Limit Reached
You’ve reached the maximum number of blocked contacts. To block additional callers, remove a blocked contact in Settings.

I know I get a lot of spam calls, but 20000 is an insane number of blocked contacts

My blocked contacts list doesn’t even have 50 people yet :distorted_face:

In Italy, we’re forced to block call centre numbers because they’re swamping us with calls :skull:

has anyone been having awful battery life and the device feeling too warm/hot? ive been facing these two issues since the day this version was released (16e)

Battery life has still been good on my 15 Pro Max. My iPhone does get warm at times, but I think that’s a common issue with both the 15 Pro and 16 Pro series.

You could try restarting your iPhone. Sometimes a background process gets stuck running and doesn’t stop on its own.

Yeah I’ve restarted my device, and the issue still persists. My device still gets hot

I also have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and it works perfectly fine.
