Apple has released iOS 26.3 Beta 3 to developers today. I expect the Release Candidate (RC) to arrive sometime next week, with the public release likely following in early February. Here’s what we’ve discovered so far in iOS 26.3 Beta 3.
In case you missed it, here’s what was added in iOS 26.3 Beta 2: What’s New in iOS 26.3 Beta 2?
iOS 26.3 Developer Beta 3
Build: 23D5114d
Released: January 26, 2026
Limit Precise Location
In iOS 26.3 Beta 3, Apple added a new “Limit Precise Location” setting under Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options. When enabled, this setting limits how precisely your iPhone’s location is shared while using cellular data, meaning carriers will only receive a nearby area, such as your neighborhood, rather than your exact street address and precise location.
This feature is currently available on devices powered by the C1 chip, including:
- iPhone Air
- iPhone 16e
- iPad Pro (M5)
At the moment, the feature is supported by the following carriers only:
- United States: Boost Mobile
- United Kingdom: EE, BT
- Germany: Telekom
- Thailand: AIS, True
No New Black Unity Wallpaper
Apple has introduced a new Black Unity band for Apple Watch, but unlike previous years, there is no new Black Unity wallpaper included in iOS 26.3.
On Apple Watch, Apple is once again using the Unity Lights watch face introduced in 2022 to promote the new band, likely because both are Braided Solo Loop bands, making it easy to reuse the same watch face.
Apple Music
Not new in iOS 26.3 Beta 3. It was added back in iOS 26.3 Beta 1, but I hadn’t reported it earlier, so I’m sharing it here.
In the Apple Music Home tab, the artwork for Top Picks for You, Made for You, and Replay has been slightly redesigned with more full-size illustrations.
App Store Search Ads
There’s one App Store change in recent iOS 26.3 betas that I haven’t mentioned yet. Apple is currently testing a new design for search ads in the App Store, where the light blue background surrounding ads has been removed. This makes ads shown for search keywords harder to distinguish from regular search results.
Personally, I’m not seeing the new ad design in my App Store searches, but Apple may be rolling it out to a limited group of users before a wider release.

I’ll keep adding more iOS 26.3 Beta 3 changes and new features here as I discover them. Stay tuned and follow @BetaProfiles on X or Threads!
