What’s New in iOS 26.5 Beta 3? [Updated for Beta 4]

Apple has just released iOS 26.5 beta 4 to developers. This update continues to fix bugs and refine overall performance. Here’s a look at what’s new.

In case you missed it, here’s what was added in iOS 26.5 Beta 2: What’s New in iOS 26.5 Beta 2 →

iOS 26.5 Developer Beta 4
Build: 23F5069b
Released: April 27, 2026

iOS 26.5 beta 4 is still mainly about bug fixes, and so far there aren’t any noticeable changes.

The build number ends with a “b,” which usually means the beta cycle is wrapping up, so a Release Candidate will likely drop next week.

Bug Fixes

That said, one notable bug I found has been fixed in this build: previously, resizing a widget from 2x4 to 2x2 on the Home Screen and then tapping the page dots would immediately trigger a quick respring. This issue now appears to be resolved.

Pride Luminance Wallpaper Coming Next Week

The iOS 26.5 RC could bring a new Pride Luminance wallpaper for iPhone and iPad, along with a matching Apple Watch face. Here’s a preview of the Pride Luminance watch face that Mark Gurman shared last week.

New App Store Monthly Subscriptions

Apple has announced a new App Store subscription option: a monthly plan with a 12-month commitment that developers can integrate into their apps.

Here’s Apple’s description of this new subscription model:

This new payment option allows you to offer subscribers more affordable options. People can cancel their subscription at any time, which will prevent the subscription from renewing after they’ve completed their agreed-to payments to fulfill their commitment.

To provide transparency, people can easily view the number of completed and remaining payments for the subscription in their Apple Account. Apple will also send email and, if opted in, push notifications ahead of their renewal date to remind them of their upcoming purchase.

This new subscription option will be available to users on iOS 26.4 and later once iOS 26.5 is released in early May. Apple also notes that these plans will not be available in the United States and Singapore.

Fixed Issues

iOS 26.5 beta 3 looks like a mostly bug-fix update, with no major visible changes.

One notable fix: frame drops when swiping up from the Lock Screen or Notification Center are now gone.

Additionally, an issue in beta 2 where some App Store app icons appeared with a white square background has now been fixed in iOS 26.5 beta 3.
