Last week when iOS 27 released, update on my phone said 18.53GB. Today looks like it was updated, because now it is showing update size is 23.58GB.. Can someone confirm if something changed ?
Oh, there’s no new update for iOS 27 beta 1. The download size shown in Software Update is often off.
Yesterday, iOS 26.6 beta 2 showed over 15GB for me (updating from 26.6 beta 1), yet it only took a few minutes to download. That tells me the real size was much smaller than what it displayed.
A lot of people have been reporting this inaccurate update size since last year.
Did you install it?
Of course, I have to report on the new features, so I always install the beta as soon as it’s released.
Ok, I haven’t installed it yet, how are you finding it? I have an IPhone 17, but haven’t dared installing yet..
I find it pretty good. I haven’t run into any serious bugs in my daily use.
I ran a small survey on BetaProfiles.com, and most people who’ve installed the iOS 27 beta also think it’s quite stable and smooth.
