Just a few days after releasing iOS 18.4 to the public, Apple has quickly launched the first iOS 18.5 Developer Beta. This update doesn’t introduce many notable new features, but it does include some changes related to Limited Warranty and AppleCare information.

iOS 18.5 Beta 3 appears to be a minor bug fix update. You can see that the Build ID has only slightly changed from ‘f’ to ‘j’, so I haven’t noticed any new features or changes.

Fix for Lossless Audio on AirPods Max
Apple has fixed the Lossless Audio issue for the USB-C AirPods Max in iOS 18.5 Beta 2. Previously, the feature stopped working after updated to iOS 18.5 Beta 1, even though it worked fine on iOS 18.4.
Photos
How funny that they keep removing the Recover All & Delete All button in the Recently Deleted album again in iOS 18.5 Beta 2.
These two buttons were previously introduced in iOS 18.4 Beta 2, removed in the iOS 18.4 RC, added back in iOS 18.5 Beta 1, and have now been removed once again in iOS 18.5 Beta 2.
The Mail app in iOS 18.5 Beta 2 has added All Mail button to the category bar. Previously, this button was not visible.

AppleCare Settings
iOS 18.5 Beta 1 updates the AppleCare & Warranty page in Settings - General with a larger heading.
When tapping a device from the list, the Limited Warranty and AppleCare details now include the model name and serial number.
Additionally, when viewing one of your devices in Settings → [Your Apple Account], there’s a new AppleCare option for quick access to warranty and AppleCare information.
There’s a new “Show Contact Photos” option in the Mail app settings that lets you show or hide contact photos. This gives me the feel of the old Mail app from iOS 17 and earlier.
Photos
In the Recently Deleted folder of the Photos app, the Recover All button and the trash icon to delete all photos have returned in iOS 18.5 Beta 1.
These buttons were first introduced in iOS 18.4 Beta 2 through Beta 4 but were later removed in iOS 18.4 RC and RC 2 due to reports of the Photos app crashing when they were used.

Expanding Messages via Satellite
Some users have reported that Messages via Satellite now appears to be available in the UK after updating to iOS 18.5 Beta 1. If you’re in the UK, you can confirm this below, and the feature may also be available in other countries.
In iOS 18.4, Messages via Satellite is only available in the US and Canada for iPhone 14 and later.
Back Tap Banner
The Show Banner option is now back in Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap, displaying a banner when Back Tap is triggered.
It was first introduced in iOS 18.4 Beta 1 but was removed starting from Beta 4 and the official release.
[Bug] Lossless Audio Not Working on USB-C AirPods Max
Some users have reported that after updating to iOS 18.5 Beta 1, Lossless Audio no longer works on their AirPods Max (USB-C), even with the latest firmware version (7E101).
Apple Watch Full Charge Notification Returns
In previous iOS 18 versions, including the latest iOS 18.4, I sometimes didn’t receive any notifications on my iPhone to indicate that my Apple Watch was fully charged, and there have been numerous reports about this issue.
It seems that iOS 18.5 will finally fix this bug. I’ve been seeing the Apple Watch full charge notification on my iPhone since updating to the iOS 18.5 Beta.
